I viewed an amazing scene at Lake Michigan Chicago; the simultaneous appearance of stormy and sunny clouds above, with RAIN & rays of LIGHT  below!

I interpreted this view as a collage, using an abstract composition composed of vibrant, textured layers and patches of color. It incorporates various hues including bold reds, pinks, oranges and yellows, contrasted by softer blues and greens, with portions of black and neutral tones near the top. A persistent sun tries to break through clouds layers. The surreal chartreuse color of Lake Michigan reflects the sky: the combination of black, yellow and orange clouds optically create green. The texture is heavily emphasized through the torn edges of oil painted paper and rough, uneven layers, giving a sense of depth and movement. The overlapping sections and the interplay of color and texture create a dynamic, visually engaging piece that invites viewers to explore its complexity.
